Stevi and Toby’s serene Scarborough sunset elopement

Photography: Red Eclectic

One of the best things about elopements is that they’re virtually stress free. The hardest thing can be deciding what to wear… especially if, like Stevi, you’re rocking an adorable baby bump!

Kat (from Red Eclectic) and I met Stevi and Toby for the first time on their wedding day. Why? Because the happy couple is based in the Goldfields, several hours east of Perth. All of the planning and help with legal documents was done over email and messaging. So, when the big day came, all Toby and Stevi had to do was check in to their accommodation, get dressed, and leave their beautiful little girl Ella with a loved one for an hour or so while they sealed the deal down at beautiful Scarborough Beach.

We found a quiet spot on the grass, with just a handful of people chilling out listening to music nearby. As the golden sun set, Toby and Stevi shared their first kiss as husband and wife, before heading onto the magical white sands for some epic photos and relaxed fun.

REVIEW: “We loved having Candice as our celebrant and I'm so happy we stumbled across her in our extensive Google search! Candice was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and that made such a huge difference to planning our day (especially with us living so far away from Perth). The ceremony was perfectly put together for us and we couldn't have hoped for anything more on our day.”

Having worked for 10 years as a journalist working in TV, radio, print and public relations across Western Australia, I’ve developed a knack for telling a good story. Love stories are among the happiest and most uplifting stories, so a career as a marriage celebrant was a natural fit. My expertise in video and audio broadcasting is an added bonus, meaning you’ll be heard when it matters most.
